A Socratic, academic forum centered on George R. R. Martin's epic tale. Reblogged posts will relate in some way to the type of discussions normally found in a college-level English Literature class but there is no homework, no tuition, no prerequisite (except that it is highly recommended that you read at least through A Feast for Crows) and no final exam.
I stress literature, although references to the HBO series are helpful - especially in light of the fact that the series departs from the novels - and that's another discussion entirely (why DO screenwriters feel the need to change what the author originally intended?)

GRRM’s ability to make me feel empathy for almost every single character is just amazing. I’ve mentioned before that there are no (or very few) black and white characters. This is not a series of good guys defeating bad guys. Each character has so many facets of themselves to reveal, and each has their own motives to justify their actions.
